It’s been rumored for months now that a NEW Justice League series was coming to Cartoon Network and those rumors have finally been confirmed! HERE’S THE 411! Today, Cartoon Network confirmed the upcoming series, Justice League Action. Also, voice actors set to reprise their roles are Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and Joker, respectively. As of yet, there has been no official release date given. According to online sources, the series will be ran in a 30-minute time slot and split into two, 11-minute episodes, similar to Teen Titans Go!
The press release from Cartoon Network describes the new series as follows:
“Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge.”
I am personally withholding any judgement about this series until I actually view it for myself. However, I can say that it has HUGE boots to fill as a worthy successor to the Original Justice League Animated Series. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.
